The Marion Giants two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Marion Giants Varsity defeated Maconaquah 3-1 on Wednesday.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Giants pitchers struck out ten, while hurlers for Maconaquah sat down six.

Tra Cox earned the win for Marion. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing one run, zero hits, striking out ten, and walking one. Justin Clariett recorded the last out to earn the save for the Giants. Koebler took the loss for Maconaquah. He tossed five innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and striking out six.

Jaddyn Fisher, Dylan Meyer, and Tyras Brown each drove in one run to lead Marion Giants Varsity.

Marion returns to action on the road against Wabash on Friday.
