Game Recap

An early lead helped The Marion JV teams defeat Blackford 11-6 on Tuesday.

The Giants scored on a walk by Seth Fisher, a walk by Austin Castillo, a walk by Troy Vice, a walk by Troy Smith, and a walk by D’Angelo Jones in the first inning.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Marion collected five hits and Blackford eight
Marion captured the lead in the first inning. Seth Fisher drove in a run when he walked with the bases loaded.

Jacoby Drayton earned the win for the Giants. He threw two innings, allowing five runs, four hits, and striking out three. Willmann took the loss for Blackford. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing five runs, and zero hits.

Drayton went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Marion in hits.
Otwinowski and Jennings each collected multiple hits for Blackford.

Jared Hutchens, DeAngelo Jones and Jonas Reed also all added a hit for the Giants.

Marion JV Returns to action Thursday as they travel to Homestead start time is set for 530 pm
