With excitement over the dedication of the new turf field at Dick Lootens Stadium last Friday still in the air, the Marion High School Athletics Department has more news for fans: Giant Passes and season tickets are now available for one of the most highly anticipated fall sports seasons in recent Marion history! And new this year, Giant Passes and season tickets can be purchased online as well as at MHS.
It’s an exciting time for student-athletes and fans. The Giants football team has a number of key returners this fall, and the championship soccer teams finally have a home field on the MHS campus.
“There is a lot of buzz in the community about our teams this fall”, said Jamy Bechler, Director of Athletics. “When we opened up the sale of tickets to students, the response was overwhelming. People want to be a part of what is going on with the new turf. Likewise, we’ve already been flooded with requests by the community for Giant Passes.”
Giant Passes offer fans a great value, getting them admission to every regular season home game for every MHS team for all three seasons. There are discounts for students and seniors.
The price of a student Giant Pass has been lowered this year to only $29. At last year’s ticket prices, students would have paid that much to see only six games. This year, that gets them entry to every regular season home game all year long.
“There is no better entertainment bargain around than the Giant Pass for students,” Bechler said. “However, the adult Giant Pass is nearly as good. Reserve seating at boys’ basketball games and entry into all other events makes it a great deal for everyone in the community.”
The addition of soccer at Dick Lootens Stadium just adds to the excitement, he said.
“I love that our soccer teams will be on campus. We are even introducing a soccer season ticket package,” he said. “All in all, we can’t wait to get going with our fall sporting events.”
