The Marion Giants JV defeated Muncie Central 23-10 thanks to a strong start.

Marion scored on a stolen base and a passed ball in the first inning.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Giants collected 11 hits and Muncie Central seven.

Marion scored 13 runs in the sixth inning. Marion scored on a walk , a double by Evan Martz, a wild pitch , a walk by Maliki Newsome, a single by Troy Vice, a walk by Austin Castillo, a single by Jonas Reed, a walk , and a home run by Christian Thornton.

Muncie Central scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Muncie Central came thanks to a double by Wills, a single by Gonzales, and a passed ball.

Castillo earned the win for the Marion Giants He went four innings, surrendering five runs, three hits, and striking out seven. Perkins took the loss for Muncie Central. He tossed two innings, surrendering five runs, four hits, and striking out two.

Jared Hutchens and Thornton each collected multiple hits for Marion Giants JV. Martz went 1-for-5 at the plate as he led the team with four runs batted in. The Giants stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Castillo led the way with two.
