Football · Marion takes on Hobart this Friday for football semi-state title


The Marion Giants will face Hobart High School at Hobart this weekend for the 4A football semi-state title.

The game will be at 7:30 p.m. (Marion time) on Friday, Nov. 20 at Hobart High School. (Hobart is in Lake County which is on Central Time, so the game starts at 6:30 p.m. local time.)

Ticket availability is dependent on COVID numbers announced this week; details will be announced as soon as possible.

WBAT 1400 AM plans to broadcast the game, with their pregame show starting at 7 p.m. (Marion time).

Fans can also view the IHSAA’s livestream, with apps available to stream to devices and smart TVs. A one-game viewing pass is $15.70, including service fee. (All 12 semistate games will be webcasted by IHSAA, and you can purchase a full semistate pass to view all of the games, including the Marion game and the 11 others, for $20.85, including service fee.) Because Lake County, where Hobart is, has moved into the red category indicating a spike in COVID-19 cases, this game will NOT be open to the general public. Only parents/guardians of student participants will be permitted to attend. Parents have been provided information via email.
