Marion Wins Gymnastics Meet

Marion defeated Peru Wednesday night to give Coach Anthony Burke his first career high school gymnastics win.  The final score was 87.30 for Marion and 67.05 for Peru. Girls Basketball Advances in Sectional Play

The Marion girls basketball team avenged an earlier loss as they defeated Kokomo 50-47 in the first round of sectionals Tuesday night. Four Marion Giant wrestlers advance to Semi-State with their performances at the IHSAA’s Peru Regional on Saturday.  They included JC Herring, Devin Maggard, Josh Gadd and De’Andre Hodge. A big 3rd quarter helped give the Marion Giants a 81-71 victory over Lafayette Jefferson at the Bill Green Arena Friday night.
