Marion Giant Boys Tennis battles for NCC Championship

The #27 Marion Giant Boys Tennis team defeated McCutcheon 3-2 in the Semifinals of the NCC Championship.  In the Championship against Richmond, the Giants fell 4-1 to finish second in the NCC. The Marion Lady Giants traveled to Yorktown on Thursday evening and fell to the Tigers 6-2.  Marion’s two goals were scored by Ellie Vermilion and Taylor Kitts. For Kitts it was her 24th goal of the season. The Lady Giants are now 6-5 and will host Wabash on Monday at Dick Lootens Stadium at 6:00 pm.

Marion Giant Boys Tennis battles Richmond

The Marion Giant NCC match against Richmond was decided by a 3-hour number two doubles match, won by Richmond 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, over Ethan Eltzroth and Caleb Spitzer. Eltzroth and Spitzer saved six match points before #30 Richmond won on its seventh match point. The #27 Giants are now 9-2, 2-1 in the NCC

The Marion Lady Giant Soccer team played a very good Hamilton Hts team on Tuesday evening. Marion coming off a tough 4-3 overtime loss at Richmond on Saturday, battled but lost 6-1. Lady Giant Taylor Kitts scored her 23rd goal of the season for Marion’s lone score of the night. Marion is now 6-4 and
