The MCS School Board on Wednesday night approved the selection of a former Giant as Marion High School’s next head baseball coach. Gabe Wagner, a 1996 Marion graduate, will take over for Clint Davis, who left to become athletic director at Northfield High School. Last season, the Giants had the program’s most wins since 2001.

The inaugural Giant Challenge Alumni vs. Athletes event was a Giant success. More than 500 former and current athletes participated in the two-day, 10 event spectacular. The North Central Conference has announced the All-Conference teams for the spring sports. Marion had a strong spring season as the softball and boys golf teams finished 2nd in the NCC. Marion will be traveling to Highland Park in Kokomo for a 2015 Class 4A Baseball Sectional Tournament. The Giants will open up against the Berries of Logansport.
